Biography:

Colombian architect, with studies in Sociology and specializations in design and construction with bamboo guadua and in Landscape Architecture.

Her professional work is channeled into the independent construction company, having designed and built various housing developments in Colombia and Ecuador with the application of appropriate technologies for the region, using bamboo guadua in bahareque and mixed technologies. She has researched and applied these building technologies for more than 30 years.

Her research, construction, landscaping and ecological works are disseminated in different departments of Colombia and abroad. She is a co-founder of the Colombian Bamboo Society, an NGO founded in 1998. Lucy Amparo is a national and international lecturer.
